Moog considered the sway bar link's original design and other supplier's flaws and engineered a new line of end links to enhance durability and performance. The OE design and many aftermarket suppliers use a small diameter bolt on the sway bar link, which opens up the link to corrosion and road shock. If the smaller bolt is in decent condition, sway bar links use neoprene bushings that cannot hold up to the stress and weather conditions. Many manufacturers also use a rolled steel sleeve that can allow harmful contaminants in, leading to corrosion and early failure of the links.
